Kansas City, MO — The Kansas City Black Expo returns to Swope Park Bandstand this summer for a free three-day cultural celebration, running August 1–3, 2025. This highly anticipated community tradition brings together families, creatives, entrepreneurs, and culture lovers for what’s known as The Ultimate Black Family Reunion Experience.

A Celebration of Culture, Family, and Community

Set in one of Kansas City’s most iconic parks, the Black Expo offers a powerful weekend of connection, culture, and commerce. Guests will enjoy:

A Platform Rooted in Empowerment

The Kansas City Black Expo is an initiative of Black Owned Business Kansas City (BOBKC), a nonprofit focused on equity, health, wealth, and education for the local Black business community.

“This weekend is about joy, legacy, and creating something lasting for our families. It’s where culture meets celebration,” said Marsha Willis, founder of BOBKC and lead organizer of the Expo.
